I know. For real, though.

I know that this is probably very abrupt and sudden and doesn't make a lot of sense to you right now.. or maybe it does? But here are some fun facts:

• My name is Jessica. (Jess is also fine.)
• My pronouns are she/her.
• I have been living with this for a long, long time.
• The reason I did not tell you before now is because I was scared. (I still am.) This is not commentary on you! It's just that this stuff is hard.
• I started hormone replacement therapy just under six months ago. Cool, right?
• I am still the same person as always.
• I am not sure when I will be ready to be out to everybody. Work in particular is a big question mark.
• I am doing well.
• April Fool's Day is tomorrow. NOT today. This is not a prank or a joke, despite the sort of awkward timing.
